1.9 octy est tdi

Featured Replies

Hi

i have just aquired a 57 plate octy est from aapproved dealership 12000 miles.

in 1 month it has played up 4 times

It has been back to dealer for investigation, and is due back again next week.

What occurs is she starts fine when cold, first time.

but when hot / warm it turns but makes a horrendous noise, complete engine shake

and refuses to start until the 4/5 turn(she sounds like a bag of bolts).

On first occuranance rac called out under skoda assist but computer read out found no

fault. I have even taken a video to prove it happens(sad i know).

But so intermittent its wierd.

any ideas out there for when she goes back in next week

Im getting something similar and intermittently to.

Like a real bang and shake the odd time when starting like the engine is stalling. but it starts.

anyone?

anyone?

yes i too have had this happen , was stood by mine (2011 1.9) when it was started up i thought as it caught "what the f@#K is that? then all was perfectly normal , best mental image would be .. imagine someone has let all the engine mounts go then turned it over on the key ! ... you get the idea ! it was a knocking /clattering noise uneven and varying in its composition (not regular like something catching) for about 2/3 secs then it was gone so weird ! havent had it since , it was a cool morning and the engine had been stood overnight
