Fabia door pull, how to gain access to retaining screw/bolt?

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me how to remove trim on door grab handles (rear) to gain access to fixing screws/bolt, to enable me to remove door trim (cards). Thanks-John

Mine have screwdriver leavering off marks where they were taken off - I'll see if I can be more precise when it's not pouring with rain as now...

Very nice of you do do that! - thanks- John

Sorry but it's now 11.30pm and STILL raining - it's been raining in Gloucester since I came out of Tesco at 1.30pm this afternoon...

Check out http://www.briskoda.net/forums/showthread.php?p=311412 for a picture of a door card with the armrest covers removed.

Amazingly still drizzling here this morning.

Using my trusty Sentinel keyring tag I find I can get the front top section of the rear armrest off by inserting the end at the extreme front adjacent to the door card and sliding it backwards - this releases two clips one about central and one towards the rear. I stopped at this point but you should be able to take it from there. Beware, the interior plastic generally is rather soft and liable to mark - almost as badly as the external paintwork...
