I did a quick search and couldnt find owt through the search bar will have another look tomorow

I believe my car has an Awesome map done by the original owner of the car, I've had the car 3 1/2 years and not had a problem with it, the power delivery is smooth and it goes pretty well too ;)

The previous owner of my car had a custom hybrid remap which I wasn't happy with, there was too much torque low-down, too much smoke, and the injection was less than optimal. A friend of mine had a generic stage 1 on his PD130 Ibiza which he thought was surge-y. Both replaced by Shark maps, and we're both much, much happier :)

Its probably an APR map, Awesome havent been doing their own maps for long.

They fell out with APR then started using REVO, then also did their own.

Think you find they have. Shifty had their custom mapping on his old fabia. That was a few years ago now.

They have not been listing or pushing their own maps for long. It was always APR then REVO.

They maybe did some custom stuff (which was maybe somebody elses base code tweaked??) but if they were doing what they are now, then they would have always been pushing it - as they will make more money from it.

They also did DMS remaps. I had one.

They have been doing them for a while but not advertised much untill a couple of years ago.

Just had an Awesome GTi remap done today.

Driven it back to Blackpool and so far seems a lot smoother. Obviously more power, but just a lot better to drive.

Will do an update once its been driven a few times, but so far can't fault the map or the staff.

Only been 2 days, but its been a VERY fun 2 days.

Power delivery is smooth, and even with the little high speed blasts it seems to be better on fuel.

And also forgot to add when I was having the remap done, whilst testing the car the engineer noticed the Driver side wiper was catching slightly on the A Pillar, so he took it back in and tweaked the mechanism slightly to remedy this.

I know its only a small easy job, but the fact they did it for me, no hassle and no charge shows just what a decent company they are!

Already trying to convince the better half we need to get booked in for more bits (Exhaust and Suspension), and when I have a bit of free time I'll be booking another afternoon off work and driving down to them for a rolling road session to see what the new map is actually doing and producing.

The Shifty fabia runs a washbrook map now

If you pay (parts and insurance) you can get whatever you want - I say RARB and strut brace and suspension, before exhaust.

Yeah didn't think I needed to mention that bit :)

ive had a generic awesome map on my fabia for over a year now and no problems, great to drive. got a turbo back exhaust, panel filter and front mount now an turbo next then i will be taking it back to awesome for a real map!

They offering tdi maps on their site for £150 inc vat. they are only 10 mins from me so am very tempted.

I had one on my Fabia for a fair years , and it gave more BHP , and shed loads more MPG

The APR rempas was for the petrol engines , not diesel

APR is in America , and they didn`t see diesels there , only petrol

Now they are with Revo

But diesels they have done their own remaps for years!!!!

See I was right. Lol :)

My ears were burning. All I will say is that my map was a custom map from Awesome, and despite my immediate joy at the time, those mentioned teething problems never went away until it had the Washbrook map was installed. I'm sure they have moved on as this was 5 years ago. The staff were awesome, the map not so much. Highlighted mainly by the quality of the replacement map which by all accounts is still running strongly today. I'm not suggesting you do or don't, just clarifying my position.

The staff were awesome

Ha ha , got you there , some was ;)

I've had work done at Awesome, and they are excellent, but if you need a remap, Shark Performance are the current benchmark for smoothness, driveability and reliability.
