Key working but not the fob

Featured Replies

Hi

Please can someone help me. I have a skoda superb elegance 1.9 tdi elegance (55 model).

I have two keys. 1 stop working, therefore I have replaced the battery but the remote does not work (3 button fob). If I unlock the car with the other key (working) and start with the fob not working, the car starts up fine. I have tried programming the key using the method below, but it does not work.

Using a spare key switch the ignition on.

Insert the key to be programmed into the driver’s door lock.

Manually lock the driver’s door using the key.

Press the Lock or Unlock button on the fob once.

Wait for a least one second.

Press the Lock or Unlock button on the fob twice.

The vehicle horn will sound to indicate correct programming.

Anyone know how i can re-sync the key.

Had the same problem. Turned out to be a problem with the key electronics. Dunno if that could be the issue...
