I know that the Meguiars clay bar is highly thought of, but I haven't heard of the other one.

Then it's a waste of time and money IMO (nowt humble about this opinion!)

As far as I'm concerned we are getting ripped off bigstyle by people who sell cleaning products.........

The glossiest cars I ever saw were "waxed" with goose grease (ie the fat from ducks and geese) and they really sparkled and beaded water perfectly:

there is a Chinese Food wholesaler in Glasgow who will sell you a tub (5Kg) for around
