It is a personal car, as the BIK would crucify a company car driver. I get paid a generous allowance that I get to spend at my discretion and as this is my last big car before retirement I thought I'd go for this.

I really wanted a 170 CR TDi 4x4 DSG but as that is not on offer and I have a general hesitancy towards any modifications of say a 140 BHP TDi 4x4 with DSG.

DSG is important to me.

The car financed through the Skoda low VAT Offer and good interest rates and is very competitive. I know it is going to be thirsty, and I can live with the extra cost per year for the enjoyment it will give.

Insurance - I took the opportunity to review insurer and will now be paying £80 a year less.

Finally, webuyanycar have offered me a great deal on my 2009 (lot of extras) 170 CR TDi DSG Twindoor that the dealer was unprepared to match which was a pleasant surpise.

I originally order a 4x4 170 Combi manuak with same spec on 1st July 2011 with the hope it would be delivered in 2011 - that was not be be.

So I went back to dealer 1st October 2011 and changed to current car and was given estimated buld of WK 48/49.

Car was actualy built Wk 1 2012 and arrived at dealer a week ago. I was away in India so that introduced a week's delay.

So all in all about 17-18 weeks from roder to delivery.
