What do you think of my website

Featured Replies

I'm in the process of making a webpage, eventually it will contain more info, car related and otherwise, but for the moment, I simply have written a small site about the Fabia vRS, my review of it, tuning options and links.

All opinions are welcomed.

Cheers :)

 looking good so far!

Pretty good mate, nice content giving a good review and info, nice one.

Cheers guys, I've just read through it myself and I havent seen too many errors, feel free to let me know if there are any.

I used to be well into designing pages, but this is the first I've done for some years :)

Looks good.

Text is a good size and the contrast between text and background makes it easy to read. The font choice also seems like a good clear choice.

Content also looks good even if I'm not one for modifying cars (who said heretic? :P )

Good attempt - I like white on black - my Land Rover site was done like than and my Skoda one will probably follow in that vein - when I get around to it.

Offlist email to you as requested with corrections

Addendum - having now read partially through it, it's actually a very good read indeed!

Cheers guys...

I'll check my email tomorrow David, I really should go to bed now :D

Paul, thats excellent, lots of information, looking good

Personally...I'd make the navigation links at the top and bottom of the page the same across every page, and just have the current page's link highlighted/"greyed-out". It will give the site a more apparent structure, and hence make it easier to use... :)

Oh, and get yourself a decent domain name...can be had for ridiculous money now. ;)

Rob.

I think that's a good review and site looks good.

Only thing I noticed was someone seems to have stuck the octavia vrs badge on the rear of your car

 very good!

Thanks for the replies so far....

Rob, suggestion has been noted, I'll try change that tonight.

LozGTI, that was the badge that came with it... but those pictures are quite old now, and dont show the fully debadged car. :)

Good site :)

I like the layout and the review is good, makes me feel proud of furby ownership (tear in eye). ;)

I like it. :D

I hadn't mentioned that one - you have to have a certain degree of "commitment" to get into Domain Names.

That said fabiavrs.net, fabiavrs.org, fabiavrs.biz, fabiavrs.me.uk and fabiavrs.org.uk are all available presently (I've already got fabiavrs.info, and fabiavrs.co.uk and fabiavrs.com are also taken - interestingly I've realised fabiavrs.co.uk links to a rival forum!)

Also bear in mind the

Fabiavrs.co.uk isnt a rival forum, its a little bit off a forum from uk-polos.net run by one of our members josh polo gti

I've had a domain name before, in fact I still have, but it runs out in 5 days time. Not really that bothered at the minute, and the website will include more than just the Fabia vRS, I'm going to have other stuff on too, so when I decide what that is then I may reconsider it. :)

You can have multiple domain names pointing at different parts of the same website - which needn't necessarily connect...

Josh's Polo site is not a rival, more one of the VAG brothers, or is it sister being a polo...

Will have to twist his arm to get a sticky though :)

Watch as David said who you get your domains from, some do tie you in, but some do not and do not ask the earth per annum either.

If you want to know my 2 favourits then feel free to drop me a PM.

The beuaty of domain names is they do not have to be anything, I am seeing more and more now off the wall creations not really related to the target market at all, but powerfull SEO makes good any url name value.

Also bear in mind the
Just for the domains?! I know a company offering 2 years (base package) hosting with a .co.uk for only

You can validate your page code at validator.w3.org. And you might fix the spelling of "primitive" on the tuning page. :)

One and One is horrendous to deal with - took about 30 emails to get an address changed...

I'd agree, they're not great - used to have a couple of domains registered with them and transferring them took a few faxes and several days...

Rob.
