Hi all

I have a 2000 year 1.4 Skoda Fabia it has flickering head lights and internal lights it also is not idling properly. I have just had a new alternator fitted and that hasn't fixed it.

The garage is still investigating and are going to bring in an electrical expert but i cant afford to spend much more money on it.

If anyone has any idea on what courses these problems please let me know i would very much appropriate any help.

Is it charging? Does the battery light come on with ignition? How is the battery? Earth cable? All things to consider.

Hi Tech1e the battery has been fine the light comes on when the key is in but as soon as the engine is started it goes off. the battery has been tested and the garage said its fine that's why I was a bit taken back when they said it was the alternator. once in a while the steering warning light comes on but turning the engine off then on again seems to sort it.
