iPod to MDI cable AZO800001

Featured Replies

I have the MDI in my car and just bought part number AZO800001 (eBay £12 but seems to be the genuine item). I tried it with my 2nd generation iPod touch last night and it doesn't work properly. All the menus work and I can browse and select artists/albums/etc. but none of them will play. It shows the track details but with zero length and sometimes shows just random letters as the track name. I tried it this morning with a friends iPhone 4S and it works perfectly.

Is it an iPod generation issue or perhaps even a fault with my iPod?

Thanks,

Shaun

Has your iPod got the latest software on it? If it has then it could be a generatin thing, but I find it strange if it is.

I'm pretty sure it's on the latest software but I'll update it tonight and see if that helps. I'll try my wifes Nano as well.

Software is up to date and wife's Nano works fine so it's either a generation thing or my iPod is not working properly. Not a major problem as I have a 32GB SD card with music on it but it would have been nice.
