New Fabia SE

Featured Replies

I have just placed an order for a new Fabia SE 1.2TSI 86 PS in Candy White should be here next week .I drove the 1.4 16v 86 PS back to back and although they are the same output the 1.2 felt a lot more responsive .I ordered it with the spare wheel a extra £52 as i hate that gunk stuff and if you get a puncture the tyre is scrap after you use it .The difference in price with the Vat Free offer was less than £1k and when you take into consideration that the 1.4 needs a cam belt change at 4 years at a cost of £400 and the added Ved over that period £175 as well as fuel economy it was a bit of a no brainer.

Good choice, nice engine and goes well. No known problems either. Enjoy, and keep posting on how you like that engine when you get it. I've only driven the 105ps version so it would be good to know what you think of it.

I have a 1.2 TSI 86PS candy white had now nearly 12 months. 900 miles to go before service. had no probs with engine had water leak on offside door seal wet seat skoda fixed door out of alienment. work mate got 1.4 16v 09 reg both set off from lights i left him behind. Some turbo lag but once spinning you know its got one. Used 1/2 ltr of oil since new done 8500 miles and get 45/48 combined mpg. At first before run in 35/40 mpg. Had trouble trying to insure it as 1.2 tsi se as it kept coming up as 1.2tsi se plus so phoned ins and they said its a fabia 1.2 (85) so £100 cheaper?

been quoted £177 for insurance Admiral £198 from Saga if car is written off within 2 years will replace it a brand new one so not bad not just market value .Plenty of time to look around .Skoda will give you 7 days free insurance cover as well when you buy a new car not bad

Congratulations Loki forward to pictures and review in due course

Wife's had her TSI 85 (as stated on this cars v5c) since Sept 10 and has now covered 11,000 miles. Been very impressed with it, only a couple of minor niggles; HHC stopped working for a week but then fixed itself before the dealer had chance to look and we've had a couple of minor rattles (dealer failed to find them) plus a loose central vent; fixed under warranty. Oh ours is in Pacific blue paint; great to look at and suits the Fabia but it's not very resilient to scratches of stone chips, slightest thing leaves a mark.

Have also driven a 105 version about 100 miles or so; didn't feel that much different to be honest.

enjoy the new motor,

TP

I love my 1.2SE 86PS and have 8000 miles on her and have had no worries with her, the little engine is a good grunt and a good mpg.
