Light scratch removal?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Black Octavia vRS - snow - parked in hedge  . How do I remove some superficial paintwork scratches (left front wing) and 1 [one] 4-5 inch scratch which appears 'white' on the black paintwork (passenger front door)?

I've got one of those Halfords 3 pen kits, but I'd rather not use it as I tried it once on the bonnet and it left a raised area I had to get out with T-cut later.

Any ideas folks?

Thanks

Rich

Leave to a profesional is my advise , its always best in the long run and sounds your small job is ideal for chips a way - have a couple of marks I have touched up on my car that are ok but need the chips away type boys to sort properley.

GS27.

You can get it from Halfords. It's a squeezy-tube of white "paste" which re-applies the top coating on paintwork, without cutting into the existing paint. For scratches that aren't too deep, it's brill! By the sounds of it, you should be able to use this stuff for your scratches - but you may have to apply a good few coats.

Thanks for the advice gentlemen, I'll look into the GS27 stuff when I get back from my hols. If that doesn't do the job, the professionals will get the call ;) .

Thanks
