Skoda Fabia 1.4 Engine Management Light

Hi All,

Purchased a Fabia 1.4 (x 2000) in October as I fancied a more reliable car before the winter months set in. the problem I have is the engine management light keeps coming on, after I had the car and done about 70miles it come up with a fault saying brake lights failed. I got it reset to as I wasn't to bothered as I knew they were working.

after a week of driving the light comes on again this time it was a temperature gauge fault, got this fixed along with the blowers as the resistor has gone (but still every now and then the fuse still blows so now I carry some spares in the car.

I've also have a ERG fault fault that's been sorted, I have to say the guys at the garage veewee services in Bristol have been great I take the car in and as I've been a bit of a regular they get it sorted each time and have occasionally not charged me.

they have been fantastic but unfortunately the light is back on, I have it booked in for tomorrow just to see what it is, I cant keep paying out to get it fixed each time, its starting to burn a hole in my pocket!!!

so my question is does anyone else's light keep coming on every couple of weeks and if so what are the problems.

please help I love the car, but I think I may need to get another Fabia.
