Annoying Rattle

Featured Replies

Hi All

Mine had a similar problem recently, even took it in to the dealer to see if they could find it. After 2 hours with 2 technicians looking for it they couldnt find it.

However, the noise had gone on the way home and has hardly been heard since.

To me it sounded like the exhaust or similar rattling, though I did suspect ARB bushes too.

edit to say - it made the noise this morning when i braked hard for a junction, as before it seems to be related to engine movement.

Try bouncing the car up and down from the front wings, if it doesnt make the noise, try getting someone to sit on the boot opening and bounce around, I found that got the rattle sound.

The rattle is definitly coming from around the front drivers side wheel, so that rules out the exhaust.

If I shake the car, I can here it. So I am suspecting ARB bushes again.

How often should these go? Plus with having the ARB replaced before due to it having a fracture, does my car have some underlying problem?

Anyone got any ideas?
