Strange (?) lock behaviour

Featured Replies

I just noticed yesterday, the following behaviour when locking the car (from the key fobb):

When I have a door opened, and press LOCK, it does CLICK but lights don't flash, then when I close the door, lights flash and all doors are locked (as described in manual).

However, when the open door is the driver's one, pressing LOCK does not do anything at all, no CLICK, no lights and when I close the door, all doors are still unlocked... :wonder:

I checked and this only happens if the door left open when locking is the driver's door. Is this happening to others as well or is there smt wrong with mine?

Normal behaviour. My previous VAG cars have all done it.

I think most cars do this, maybe to prevent locking your keys in?

however if you locked the doors from the inside I think they all lock apart from the drivers doo?

yep all normal

Ok then, I had never noticed that since I bought it so I thought maybe there was something wrong!
