I have a '59 Fabia 2 1.9 TDi PD which is coming up for its 40,000 mile service. I've had a look on here but there's nothing specific to my model and mileage. So, what can I expect to have done and, more crucially, how much can I expect to pay?

40k is the biggest inspection service so you have all the filters done.

I'd pop into a dealer and ask about SSP (Skoda service plan). On your car it would be a no brainier, you pay £299 for two services whatever they are. Seeing as a 40k won't be far off they you effectively get your 50k service for free.

I took it out on my wifes fabia, it has been good. However will only be benefitting from one mot because she does above average mileage and the service plan ends after the second service

I dont think he will benifit from this as his car is a 59 plate and dosn't need an MOT

Ok so what he would get is his second MOT as his car won't need one on the first 10k/12 months and 2 service's which would be the major service 40k which includes a brake fluid change and one MOT which broken down at our dealership is

1 major service (includes brakefluid change) £120

1 minor service £95

1 MOT £35

£250 so he would be making a loss of £49.99 on the service plan (And you said there's no catch??)

I agree with you. Would love to know if Kie is at a skoda dealership. For comparison reasons i think it's only right we compare apples with apples and not with pears.

Thanks for the replies but I've already used the service plan for the last 2 services, plus £100 of Skoda vouchers. So, how much for the 40k service and any recommendations for somewhere local to Sheffield?

OK, according to the computer I've less than 600 miles to go before the next service so how much can I expect to pay, please?
