Nah not really i might get hit over the head here but its rather sluggish lol....

But its what i want, stock and more mature and inconspicuous if you get my drift

Seems very cheap to me...

time of year i suppose

i checked car over and got a HPI check, comes back clear with only 2 previous owners, a woman had owned it since 2008

all the better for me

how many miles on the clock? good price! :)

edited... ooops

65k

Sounds on the money. I've just left a deposit on a silver 55 plate mk1 with 59k for just shy of 3500.

Good deal!!

They are dirt cheap, you get a lot of motor for your money!

Is their any benefit to getting a newer one like on the fabia you get newer spec grille, lights, gearbox's can differ, rear badges, dash, rear door lock deletes etc?

I think the only differences on the newer ones (54 onwards) are

Aero rear wiper and redesigned rear washer jet that doesn't block so often

Plain black plastic Skoda badge on the engine cover instead of a coloured one

No little chrome badges on the front speaker covers saying "Sound System"

Boot lock is blanked off

And from a recent post it sounds like the newer ones had CD changers that will play Mp3 CDs as well as audio CDs

Wiper and boot lock delete sounds good

And an mp3 cd changer sounds good although im sceptical as the other half has a mk5 06 golf gt and it cant play mp3
