Code Red TFSI intake with carbon fibre engine cover /SOLD

Featured Replies

I have for sale an intake from my mk2 vrs tfsi.

I no longer have the vrs so i now have the intake for sale.

The intake is a Code Red induction kit for the k03 engine, and comes with everything you need including a carbon fibre engine cover carbon fibre intake the same as the carbonio ,and also blue hoses ,heat shield and some aluminium pipes to tie it all together.

The intake is not loud so if you want loud this ain't for you,it is audible but because the filter is enclosed it is quietened down compared to an open cone type.I bought the intake of a fellow member on here (vRSy) and i had the kit on my car for about 10,000 miles prior to selling my vrs.

The alloy canister that houses the filter has a rub mark on it that can't be seen when fitted which was on it when i bought it, which didn't bother me but just being honest about condition.

As for power gains i don't really know maybe around 10bhp or so but it looks cool and sounds nice and subtle.

Looking for around £150 including postage.

Bump.

I would like to register my interest but just don't have the required sum at present.

I am assuming the filter elements need replacing at an interval, like a regular panel filter, would that be correct?

i am not really in a hurry to sell so that aint a problem, and the filter is foam so you just wash and lightly re oil.

would you sell the engine cover seperately? if so i am definitely interested

Sorry i would rather sell the kit complete as the engine cover is made to fit the intake.

well if you ever change your mind i have money waiting :)

Well if someone just wanted the intake on it's own then that would be fine. What intake do you have on the cupra?

P Flo. got me a spare engine cover off ebay but i dont like the fit. if i dont get something like you have ill make my own and fibreglass it.

Just spotted your cover on scn, doesn't look too bad, could you not fill the gap with a piece of shaped black foam, the same kind of stuff that is used with the itg intake .

nah wont look right to me and will cheese me off lol.

keep thinking of cutting the end off and building it down using fibreglass but im not sure what the heat will do to fibreglass lol

i like the look of this carbon one :)

Yeh the carbon looks sweet and it aint a cheap one ,new price is £251.06 mind you the whole lot if you were to buy it brand new now is £708.08 so a good saving and you never know someone might just want the intake on its own to keep costs down and if thats the case you have first refusal.

Well I would make you an offer except I have a feeling it may be on the wrong side of insulting and I really wouldn't want to do that tbh. Beginning of April for me now I think.

if it is of any use you could buy just the intake to keep cost down or are you after the complete kit ?.
