Can anyone recommend an independent VAG specialist garage in Lichfield / Tamworth / Burton please? This is for servicing and cam belt replacement on my Octavia II.

Midland VW in Norton Canes is the only decent one i know of around here or i know a mobile mechanic who is excellent (used to be a master tech at Brincars in Cannock when it was VW). PM me if you want his details.

He does all my friends and familys cars and can literally do any job on your car.

There is McKenzies by Trent Valley station in Lichfield. I've had some servicing work done there, but don't really know much about them.

Hi all, hoping for some input before I throw more parts at this. Fault: P0118 (coolant temp sensor circuit high). Started with a dead-flat -50°C reading on G62 in the diagnostic software (VCDS/ODIS-style tool), on both data groups showing coolant temp. What I've tested so far: - Unplugged G62, tested sensor connector directly: positive pin to battery negative read ~3.5V, negative pin to battery negative showed no continuity. - Bridged positive to negative on the connector — still -50°C on the la

I purchased my 2018 Karoq Edition brand new in Aug of that year and used the Skoda (VW) Finance package that gave me £700 of the screen price and included two free services. I did the routine method at the time which was to pay off the Finance within a few days and was only charged about £4 in interest but kept the perks. I'm potentially looking at my next new Skoda and wondered if this loophole was still in place or have Skoda/VW stopped this practice?

Hi there, I'm new to this forum and my Dad suggested it might be worth a try asking for advice. I have just got (June) a 2nd hand Skoda fabia elegance, 2011. When I picked it up, the air con worked great for the first 10 minutes or so then stopped and was just blowing warm air. (Temps outside were high 20's maybe early 30s). I took it to Halfords which ran an Air con diagnostics: Results: System has pressure leak, system appears to be low on refrigeration gas and recommended to be fully evacuat

April 2020-manufactured Octavia Scout 2.0TDI (MkIII facelift). Is there an indicator in the infotainment system, or which can be read with an OBDEleven, to check the AC cooland level/ system function? I was driving in the crazy southern European heat a few days ago and there were times when it felt like the system wasn't cooling quite as well as it usually would/ used to.
