Just replaced the thermostat to get some heat output BUT the only airflow is from the windscreen vent no matter where the dial is. Where do I need to investigate- under the glove box or behind the control panel? Thanks in advance. Car is x-reg Fabia 1.4 petrol with air con.

Had the Heater control panel out this afternoon. The control cable isn't connected to the knob because the purple splines are broken and still in the back of the knob. Any suggestions?

Starting to feel the car is fighting against me on even the simple jobs!
