Maxidot speed units

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Picked my new superb SE greenline up yesterday and have a quick question. On the maxidot display when driving, it shows your current speed - in km/h. Can it be changed to mph? I've gone through the settings and it says it's set to uk mph, but I think that just relates to mpg and average speeds - not the actual current driving speed.

Thanks

Yes, but you need VAGCOM/VCDS to make the changes.

Been done lots of times on here.

The reason it's there is that the main speedo does not show KPH on the dial, therefore in order to comply with Euro-regs the Maxidot gives you the KPH reading.

At least that's what the sales guy told me.

Have to say that I think that it's a sensible idea as I could never read the small red KPH figures on the dials in my previous Ford S-Max.

This is true, however you do not need to show KPH, but it has to be available to be selected.

Get someone local with VCDS to do this for you and you will also gain a selectable large digital MPH display at the same time
