New brakes fitted . . .

Featured Replies

Picked up a set of LCR Brembos last weekend. I`m not all that hard on brakes, dont drive very fast, although I do plan on some track time this year. If I`m honest, my main reason for getting them is for looks B) Since fitting my TD 3`s i`v thought the 312`s looks a bit small behind them, so i`v been looking at various upgrades and decided on these. Gave them a quick lick of paint through last week, new set of stickers then went down to Unit 18 to have them fitted.

Fills the wheels out much better now, I guessed that they would fit, but it was a little closer than I thought lol.

I know people are running with less room, but I`m happy with that, plenty of space for heat expansion if needed.

They feel great, nice bite & initial pedal feel is good too! Very very happy overall, just need to wack some red pain on the rears now to match. A bloody good clean will be a vast improvment too.

Thanks to Unit 18 for the excellent service as usual!

Looking good buddy :)

Looking good! Will have to have a meet up in the summer!

Looking good Matt. Nice to see the car the brakes came off

They look very nice indeed, good find.

Nice.

What you doing with your 312mms?

As a matter of interest what are those lcr brembos worth at the moment? I've got a complete front and rear set of brembos from a special edition lcr and was just wondering what the going rate is for them?

Rear Brembo's? Eh?

Front Brembo's off a normal LCR go for about £400-500 with the discs + pads depending on condition.

If its the brembo fronts as luke said around £400-£500, then i`m guessing its the 256mm rears? They`ll fetch maybe £100?

Yeah I was surprised too, we broke it up for spares ages ago, it had 2 pot brembos on the back... they may not have been original oem fit though but they did look kosher enough.

Wow, not heard or seen them before. Worth more coin than the 256 setup for sure then. I`d split and sell as septate front and rear setups personally.

Are the alloys fitted without spacers? I've got a set of brembos waiting to go on but I fancy a change of alloys from my tt wheels.

I see my brother's car (also with 323 Brembos) is back in it's comfort zone :D

Lol, complete with pond in the footwell :D

really?? I thought it had been dried out or at least had the plugged removed? seeing how close your Brembos are doesn't make me confident that SEAT Sport APs will fit under the 16s on a pre-facelift Leon Cupra :S

Lol, na the pond was there when it first reappeared, tis bit dryer now. The AP's looked wider than these when i was comparing so I'd be suprised if they do fit :-s

May well have clearance issues Andy!

yeah, I remember the Pro Race 1.2s we're planning to fit to the Leon not fitting my Ibiza
