front wipers not working

Featured Replies

Hi there everyone

My mate is contacting me......51 reg 1.4 petrol Fabia and for no apparent reason wipers are suddenly dead......suspiciously just after this cold snap. He hasn't got a clue as to why there is a sudden failure (mileage is about 57K)

All suggestions for identifying the proplem would be v welcome.........

In addition, could anyone notify me of the location of the fuse for the front wipers and are there any relays I should look at. He says he has checked the fuses on the side of the dash panel but is unsure if the wiper fuse is indeed there..

I will watch for any replies

Many thanks, all

Tom

Fuse number 15, I've got a diagram but not on the pc at the minute. If you pm your email address I can send the fuse layout diagram etc.

Right, here goes....

59 minutes later. The problem is solved - it was a blown fuse 15. Now everything is working A1 and my mate has just telephoned me to say it has started raining where he is (Suffolk)!

This forum never ceases to amaze me, the people on here are so helpful and constructive.

I have an Octavia 2 but I hardly post as it just never goes wrong!!!! Good old Skodas.

So once again a big thank you to all those who read or replied

Brilliant

Regards

Tom
