Has your Columbus taken longer to start up in the cold weather.?

no.

No.

(if it has, it's such a small difference we don't notice.)

Occassionally yes, only by about 10 seconds though.

:o All the best with it

The screen on mine occassionally freezes with the climatronic symbols on when it's cold too although it soon reverts to normal when I press one of the columbus buttons so I'll be interested to hear how you get on

thanks for that can i ask all you members with Columbus to post how long it takes to be fully working only skoda have told me 2-3 minuets is normal.i can then show this to skoda

Just so as I give you the right info, do you want to know how long until displaying media / radio or sat nav?

15 to 20 seconds for the screen to come 'live' this morning on media, after which the Nav screen came on straight away once I'd pressed the button of course :giggle:

The unit starts to boot when you unlock the car. I would say 1min in total from unlocking to the unit being fully usable.

Shows how much Skoda don't know about the unit as they could have locked the car, waiting 15mins and tried it as it would have been a 'cold' boot then as the unit shuts down after 15mins of the car being locked.

Out of interest - Is there a sat nav disc in the slot? If there is it can take several minutes to 'boot up', as opposed to a downloaded version sat on the hard drive.

A long shot I know, but worth checking.
