Got my hybrid on now and i know its not mapped but i dont seem to be getting any boost till 3rd gear or 40mph. But it still isnt as fast as it was

With a normal 130 on. I know it isnt running at its full potential but i got told it will run the same as it did with the kkk unit on. Any ideas? :(

Yesterday morning. Fudged my map up though!

Do i need to adjust it? And i just experiened no boost. Let my car cool down turned it off and on again and i have boost again... Is this heat soak?!

Yeah you need to do some vcds logs (channel 11 is boost pressure I think) and a scan to see if it's flagged an over boost!

It only seems to do it when ive been on a spirited run for over say a 10 mile journey. thats why i thought heat soak. Now it just doesnt want to boost in 1st or 2nd unless i build the boost up slowly, think im getting major lag.

Guessing it gives you the reading out in bar? i dont want some stupid numbers that i cant understand lol.

got it from hinkley mate. Yeah it was fast till the turbo exploded haha. Got a stage 2 pd 150 hybrid on it now

Also. would i be okay mapping this turbo in without a fmic? or is it a waste of money?

Look up actuator set up on here Rich, was your hybrid brand new? It usually voids warranty if you change the actuator but something's telling me it's that, or a vacuum issue!

It may be worthwhile mapping your boost profiling in, but if you're planning an fmic soon it may pay to hold out rather than pay twice.

It was a recon. And sometimes ive found it boosts but makes a noise and holds back slightly then it clears and shoots off. This only occours below 4th gear? :( and i should have a fmic soon. Im getting a 4bar map sensor to as there only £40. But if i was to get it mapped with a smic it wouldnt overheat would it due to the higher demand in power?
