Fabric repair on seats

Featured Replies

I have a tear in the side of the front passenger seat. I'm concerned that it has probably been there since I got the car, but can't be sure so I'm obviously gonna have to get it repaired myself rather than via the dealer.

Anyway... To get to the point, can you guys suggest a good company that can do 'invisible' fabric repair on my seats? Preferabley South-East based (im near Woking / Guildford if that helps) that can do home/work visits?

I tried Chips Away as they offer repairs, but the local franchise actually sub-contracts that to another company and I lost their details! It would be nice to have recommendations based on word of mouth if possible, so though i'd ask here before calling chips away again!

TIA :)

Just had the drivers side seatback cover replaced under warranty as the side stiching was also coming undone. This might be worth looking at as it seems to be where the side airbag escapes from.My car has to go back soon for a new airbag switch to be fitted to offside front seat. Shame about these faults as the car is much better overall than the old octavia.

Ahh, mines an actual tear in the fabric rather than stitching coming undone.

It looks a lot like somebody got into the back, on passenger side, and used the seat to heave themselves across, and dug their bloody nail into it enough to tear it... if that makes sense?

I shall take a photo today and upload it for all to see.

You know, I just realised I personally don't even have any pics of my car!
