Hi All

I have a high pitched constant noise coming from the engine bay on my petrol Octavia vRS. Does anyone have any ideas?

The car is only 2 weeks old and has only 350 miles on the clock.

Mine had something similar after a run,when it was new, a few others reported similar,but after about 1000 miles it disappeared. I assumed it was the high pressure fuel pump.

I would get it straight to the dealer, not because I think it is serious but just because it's brand new . . .

Yup will take to dealer. 600 miles in and still a high pitch whine. It's related to the engine I think as it only makes the noise when the engine is running.

I have had this on my brand new VRS. TAke it back to the dealer and point to the waterpump.

My car was in for 4 days trying to find this. This should make it easy.
