New Fabia vRS Revo acceleration runs (AP22)

Featured Replies

Went out today, brought the AP22 along to see roughly what I'd come up with, bearing in mind the car has only done 250 miles... with a REVO remap.

Here goes:

Start Speed 0.0mph

mph s g ft hp

10.0 1.03 0.54 6 42

20.0 1.88 0.55 25 88

30.0 3.12 0.34 72 85

40.0 4.14 0.43 125 142

50.0 5.81 0.07 239 42

60.0 7.20 0.28 352 153

70.0 8.89 0.24 514 161

Pk Power: 66.4mph 8.23s 447ft 167hp

Peak G: 26.2mph 2.37s 41ft 0.57g

30.0 3.20 0.31 73 78

40.0 4.30 0.39 130 130

50.0 5.64 0.26 220 115

60.0 7.45 0.27 364 148

70.0 9.26 0.21 537 146

Pk Power: 61.7mph 7.72s 388ft 157hp

Peak G: 25.2mph 2.37s 39ft 0.57g

And for comparison, here's my best 0-100 run in my now defunct CLIO CUP 172, well run in and well practised:

Start Speed 0.0mph

mph s g ft hp

10.0 0.94 0.55 6 35

20.0 1.81 0.49 25 65

30.0 2.67 0.53 57 107

40.0 3.99 0.45 126 124

50.0 5.15 0.38 203 135

60.0 6.47 0.30 310 136

70.0 8.38 0.25 492 143

80.0 10.30 0.22 704 152

90.0 12.60 0.19 991 167

100.0 15.72 0.14 1426 160

Pk Power: 96.2mph 14.56s 1259ft 171hp

Peak G: 15.0mph 1.32s 13ft 0.60g

Hopefully I will be able to improve those runs when the car is run in-don't want to overdo it yet! :D

What about running your engine in first?!

Haha.... Ah well, there is that... lol! When it is "properly" run in, I shall try and improve on those times!! With better starts, I am hopeless at launcing cars for some reason. The best run seemed to be the one where I had less activity on the traction control light. I wonder whether it might be better to turn off the traction control as none of my other cars have had that. Any ideas welcome.

The best speed you should get with it turned off, whilst avoiding the need for it, if you get me - i.e. not spinning the wheels (too much).

If the traction control kicks in it will reduce power output so that will slow you down. If you turn it off and the wheels spin you'll have less acceleration than theoretically possible :)
