Can anyone tell me if this engine is a BAM code engine from just this pic? It is in a 2001 S3.

no idea why BAM ones bring soo much coin, urban myth? My bud got a full APY engine for £600

What gives it away as an APY engine?

Bam's are 225 iirc and came out later so are newer which I guess would make them worth more

the 225 is just mapping,

all engines are just as worth having as each other, if someone wants to pay 3x the price for a BAM i say go for it....

210bhp s3's were APY engines

225 TT engines were also APX

Only minor difference is exhaust temps sensors, early engines don have them.

Are the engine internals the same?
