Abs Light

Featured Replies

My dad has a Leon cupra 2001 model and it has the abs pad sensor light on there is plenty of pad left all room so I'm assuming it's probably the abs sensor, I'm going to buy a basic code reader it's a gendan one basic code reader for £30 will it reset the abs/pad light once I've identified which one it is an change it

Cheers

The ABS system has nothing to do with pad wear. Is it the ABS warning light or the pad wear warning light?

Sorry just realised what I said lol, what I was trying to say is the pad sensor is on there looks to be plenty of pad I'm going to change them anyway but will the gendan code reader read a fault with the actual sensor and if so will it reset it or will it go out on it's own

The wear sensor is on the front left. Assuming there is plenty on both pads, check the wire hasn't been pulled out of the pad or connector.
