Boot chipping paint against bumper, doh!

Featured Replies

I removed and DIY resprayed my rear bumper a few months ago, as someone scraped what looked like a bike pedal across the entire length of it. I fitted it back, but since, the sides of the bumper flare out by 1-2 mm either side by the rear quarters and I've just open my boot to find that the lower lip of the boot has been rubbing on the top of the bumper, chipping small paint segments off. I bolted and clipped the bumper back on as it should be, but can anyone think of a reason / solution to try and squash the bumper down slightly to stop it rubbing the boot lid?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

The bumper hasn't been fitted correctly, you've most likely not clipped the row of clipps at the top of the bumper in the right place..

It doesn't take too much to push it above rather than into the slot.
