High mileage non service items

Featured Replies

Just wondered if my car might be due some TLC that isn't covered by the standard service intervals.

She's now almost 100k, just 10k short, and touch wood, still driving well

My driving habit tend to be a reasonable distances, used everday and covering generally unbroken motorway speeds as Im quite lucky so I guess thats done me well for keeping the car in tiptop as opposed to stop/start driving.

Just wondered if anything might be growing more essential even though its not covered by service items

e.g. turbo ?

gearbox oil change ?

intercooler ?

Would it even be worth building this up to take it somewhere like Unit 18 for a bit of TLC do you think

One thing I have noticed is a bit of whooliness when you aren't accelerating hard, almost like it feels like I feel like I may be having to accelerate harder than I used to to get her to move ?

However when you push the car and driving through the gears she really shifts well so there isn't any performance problems in that respect.

Any advice greatly received.
