Been waiting eagerly for the citigo for months reading and watching reviews of it on the net but all my '' looking forward to '' approach is fading and it almost stopped when i saw the UP.VW here in Malta brought the first two RHD models.I drive past by the showroom everyday and if no one told me they brought the thing I wouldn't have noticed.anyway just looked at the car from outside the showroom and at first thhoughts it just looks like any small car evry other make has been doing for the last years namely the Fiat Panda,the Puegeot 107,Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1.Clever it may be but it came out so late and with a starting price of 10,990 euro it is bllody expensive for a car which doesn't have a pair of foglights and a set of alloys.all you get is just a small car with an 18 inch front VW badge you can easily eat your soup in ... Skoda wise apart from the smiling czech face and some make up here and there and some 500 euro cheaper it's very much the same.Interstingly at some 1700 euro dearer there will be the option of a TSi 1.o 81KW which should make it pretty fast indeed ...

Just had a look at this site where there is this Citigo for sale http://www.autobazar.cz/inzerat/722602/skoda-citigo-1-0-ambition-klima/ ... Has skoda become so cheap that the passengers window can't be lowered from the Driver's door ?.The doors aren't fully trimmes,the facia looks just like one big boring black plastic thing,no nice console coming down from the gearlevr to the handbrake,the seat sides have no protective side plastic trimmings thus the seat runners look so ungainly,the main key will be foldable with remotes but the spare will be just a key as you used to have on your Favorit. What's next ? . Pay extra to have doors and and engine ?.Cheap must be cheap and cheerful especially when it comes from Germany at a price not just cheap with the cheap feel ... Correct me if I am right chaps but I'd rather save my self a few bobs and buy a new Fabia which looks better equipped of buy a nearly new year or two old Fabia still with warranty left ...

Shame I've just come home from Malta we could have met up, I like the little Citigo may even part ex my 1.4 tdi for 1
