Electric trunk.

Featured Replies

Hello guys.

I received my new Superb yesterday, and I am suuuuper satisfied :)

BUT, I hate the alarm sound when opening my trunk. Does anybody know if that sound can be disabled or something?

There is an option with the Maxidot menus - something to do with ATA confirm in the convienence / locking section I think.

From manuall:

ATA confirm Switch on/off the acoustic signal indicating activation of

the anti-theft alarm system.

Is that the one to disable? Anti-theft alarm?

Yes, doesn't disable the alarm BUT disables the beep/chirp sound everytime you lock/unlock.

Hmm. The car doesnt make any sound when I lock/unlock.

I am not that good in english, but I`ll try and explain. When I open the trunk with the key, it sounds like a lorry in reverse. It makes that beep beep sound.. :p

Like a health and safety kind of beep? :giggle:

If the ATA confirm doesn't kill it there might be an option to turn it off via VCDS. Can't be sure as i've never delved into a car with the electric boot controller.

There`s the words I was looking for ;) It not easy beeing a Petter Solberg kind of Viking ;)

Yes I believe I was the 1st to find this? as many owners on a German Superb forum were also trying to silence theirs, it also annoyed me so I spent a bit of time search through VCDS one day .... mine is now silent
