1. A rattle from the passenger side air vent - not sure if this is that common on the MkII. Searching the forums seems to have every other rattle covered apart from the passenger air vent - any possible solutions?

2. On a slightly rippled road surface, a rattle from underneath the steering column - difficult to feel around when trying to drive (!), any thoughts?

3. Can anyone recommend a decent double barrel footpump - have tried the expensive Michelin's, they don't seem fit the tyre valves properly (won't let air in), tried Halford's (same problem but to a lesser extent), and a load of Argos / Tesco cheapo specials (flimsy at best, locking mechanism's never fit properly). I thought it was maybe the tyre valves that were the problem but I've got an air compressor that works no problem - and my previous 10yr old pump worked a treat.

Hi, I have the same issue with the passenger air vent, it creates a buzzing sound whilst driving. If I put pressure on it, it stops. The only other buzzing/rattle I have is from the rearview mirror, it seems to eminate from the rain sensor cover, again if I hold it the rattle stops for a while.

I have the passenger vent rattle too. Sounds more like a busted speaker (but I know it is not). Took it to the dealer and bugger me it went quiet so nothing was done. It comes and goes so next time I get chance I will take some tape and cardboard to wedge various parts and find a long term fix.
