Clutch Problem

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just taken car back to dealer to investigate a slipping clutch.Only done 5000 miles so did not expect this.Think there was a problem with the old Octavia so waiting to see what this is.I cannot fault the dealer (Freeborn Southampton) as they are only to pleased to help.Any one with a 1.9tdi got the same probs?

Some members have had problems with the clutch pedal sticking down in cold weather. A modified clutch master cylinder is the fix for that.

Just phoned dealer to see how things going on. Was told that new master cylinder is on order and that this was the first mk2 octavia with this problem that they have come across. Hopefully get car back next week but at least have use of Fabia till then. Will post back when done.

Hi all,

the new master cylinder has made all the difference. Must have been like it from day one. Also had new windscreen fitted as air was getting between the laminates causing a white line at bottom of screen. The air bag on passenger side seat was replaced as this was the cause of the warning light on dash to keep coming on. All of this was covered by the warranty. Many thanks to Freeborn's for the use of courtesy car while all this was being done. After all that has gone on can honestly say that at no time was there any cause for concern with the way that things were done. Well done Skoda another satisfied customer.
