Checked an old thread on this but could not post in it.Wasn't locked or anything :confused:

I was just wondering if VW have actually sold any of these given that their two puppies skoda and seat seemed to have sewn up the market on this one.Well and truly ;)

I suppose I am categorisng the kind of person who would buy the Polo.It strikes me that they would either buy top of the range GTi (when they launch the new one) or otherwise a fairly sensible petrol version or a smaller diesel.

The badge on the front is very important to some people, which is why VW can still charge more money for less/worse car!

One of the car magazines did a test midrange versions of the Polo, Ibiza and Fabia. At the end they said they were basically the same car, but for less money you get more kit with both the Ibiza and Fabia, so it made no sense to buy a Polo, but people still do.

apart from vw's used to and in cases still have better interior build quality and materials, stereo's etc are better and the VW badge is a good image attached to it!
