driving my fabia monte carlo hard

Featured Replies

so i was giving it some pasty the other night and my shoes were wet, my foot slipped off the clutch (ive often found the 'sports' pedals dont have much grip) when changing from 1st to 2nd i had got the gear in but when my foot slipped there was an almighty bang as the clutch engaged, will this have damaged anything at all? on driving every thing feels fine but it was such a bang just thought i would ask.....

Probably not, it will just have been the pedal springing back.

thank heck for that!, was so so so loud made me jump! followed by alot of foul language ha!

yeah it will be fine, used to happen with my fiat when learners were drivivnf it all the time, and it was still working perfectly on the original clutch at 110k ;)

things like that sound terrible when you do it yourself on a nice new car that you are careful with, but you would be suprised how much hammer they can take!
