Does anyone out there know if there is more space in the back of a Mk2 estate (ie legoom) I currently have a 2006 Mk1 Estate and am happy with it. We have a toddler and sometimes the rear seat can seem a little lacking with the car seat in place.

Has the Mk 2 got a longer wheelbase? I have the Bohemia special ed which has the vrs from seats so it maybe that they are bigger than standard items.

There's a fair bit more, because of the deeper footwell, and more upright posture. the MK1&2 are on the same wheel base, I had a Bohemia edition too.

Especially when the two front seats are adjustable in height so it's easy to compromise for rear leg room etc...

and it's a little more easier to seat 3 people in the back compared to the tight hip and shoulder space in the MK1
