Karcher 0.6 litre Foam Gun

Featured Replies

Has any one on here used one of these foam nozzles from Karcher?

My dad has a Karcher pressure washer I can use, but I never found that to be much good at getting the grime off the car! Maybe I'm using it wrong.

As a lot of people on here seem to advocate foam guns and washes prior to a proper wash, I thought that this might be an cheap (c.£20-25) way to give it a go.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this product and what foam solution to use with it?

Thanks guys.

I bought one, a week later I ordered a proper snowfoam lance...

They're okay but you don't get the adjustability of a proper lance.

I bought this one...

Edit, I'm using bilt hamber snowfoam. (Biodegradeable)

Thanks for the quick response - what is there to adjust on them? (I'm new to this).

I guess that the foam spread / pattern and possibly the rate of foam solution intake?

Are these possible on the Karcher? If not, what is (the website lacks info and there is a yellow dial on the side - what doe sthat do?)

I can see that the one you have is a better quality one (with brass fittings), but do you think that the Karcher one is a good starting point and better than two buckets?

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend the Karcher variant.

I used mine once and then spent the money again buying something better.

Another member on here showed me what a proper one works like and I immediately

realised that the karcher wasn't getting the job done.

All you can adjust on the Karcher is the concentration of soap.

With snowfoaming it's all about getting the foam at the right consistency

so that it clings and doesn't run off...

So... The most important thing for a snow foam lance to have is the right nozzle.

The Karcher one you can decide if you want the fan of spay horizontal or vertical

but that's it... Bubble consistency is unalterable on it.

On the CYC one you have two fins in the nozzle which you can set to be closer

together or further apart, this feature is the most important one for a snowfoam lance to have.

Seriously, spend the extra money on the better lance.

Or you'll have one sitting on the shelf gathering dust like I have :)

It will take a few attempts to find the right concentration of soap coupled with the

right consistency of bubbles. If you have snow foam at too strong a concentration then

it can strip wax from the car which isn't really the idea. Trial and error will give the best results.

OK. Sold.

I'll read around a bit more on the decent quality ones before making a decision.

(Unless you want to sell me your Karcher one for next to nothing... :giggle: )

Thanks for the advice.
