Anyone on here write Evo letter?

Featured Replies

Just read letter in May issue of Evo about Furby VRS under title 'Furby's just fab'. Someone from Cheshire (I won't say his name) Just wondered if he was a Briskoda member?

Cheers

We might know him if we knew his name. ;) No harm in mentioning the name unless you work for EVO and want us all to go out and buy it to find out? ;)

I think quite a few members are oop' in the North West so I couldn't narrow it down - is the colour mentioned in the write-up?

Knew you wouldn't :D

I did see the letter (I subscribe to Evo) and would be interested where exactly in Cheshire, as I hardly ever see any regularly up here!

Steve

haven't got chance to reading my copy yet, post man read it first by the looks of the packaging!

Anyone care to share with us what it said? ;)

Parked near to a furby vrs the other day and left a note under his wiper with the web address for this site etc but they never came on...wish i hadn't now...they probably thought it was weird :o

Be interested to see what letter says.

He was saying that he was annoyed that the furby vrs wasn't included in the recent hot hatch test between Fiesta ST, Renault Clio and a Citroen. But underneath the article he then noticed an 'Or Why Not Try....' which suggested the furby vrs. He thought that the 9.8 sec to 60mph quoted was wrong and that it was more like 7.8 sec when run in. He agreed with the writer that the handling was a bit too soft to compete with the Clio but compensations were:

Fantastic build quality, excellent seats, cheap insurance, 45mpg or 50mpg if you 'drive like a granny', and still cheaper than all except the Citroen.

My wife has done that three times (or rather she got my son to do it!). Don't think anyone has registered - maybe they thought it was weird as well!
