Busy couple of days new wheels and stuff

Featured Replies

Had a busy couple of days.

Started with my replacing my drivers wing after being fit in a multi story.

As it is a bolt on jobbie thought can’t be too bad to do.

Started masking up the surrounding area as to protect paint and also use as a guide for replacement wing.

Thought would clean up inner wing and surrounding areas whilst wing is off.

Replacement wing lucky to find a 2005 plate and in same colour for £50 posted to me.

Next was to fit new wheels to car

Black Spiders courtesy of Billy now with a set of 225/45/17 fitted.

Had to raise the KW’s 10mm to fit the spiders as the coilover platforms were fitting the tyre probably due to the offset of the std rims being 38 as apposed to my RS4 18” being 45.

Raised rear by same amount to level car.

Think the stance now is more useable

Mind you really notice a smoother ride

Gave the car a clean also but not finished as ran out of time.

Used meguiars clay and autoglym SRP and will wax and seal it tomorrow. (pic's a little over exposed as camera phone not that good with low light)

Why did you go back to Spiders?

My car is always going through evolution of changes and decided that std spiders are for me for now.

Looking very nice, I've always liked the look of std spiders, loving them in black too

Looks great. Still nice and low :)

Cheers Rob.

Actually it has been raised by 10mm all round as the std Spiders were hitting the coilover platforms, although admittedly it was very low. :giggle:

Feels a lot smoother being raised slightly.

P.S my bumper vents arrived yesterday.

Lovely Motor!

Need to get me a rear diffuser!!

Quick question how well is the colour match on the wing or was it PDR?

As my driver door is a different colour and would love to get it sprayed to a better match!

Thanks for comments

The wing is a perfect match as it was. no respray. I was a bit nervous as it was posted to me from scrap yard up midlands.

After I clayed it, polished it and waxed it along with rest of car, you can not tell it was a different wing.
