ABS Light

Featured Replies

Wonder if any of you guys could help.

Golf mk4 GTI Turbo the ABS light on the dash sometimes for a few minutes then goes off.

It's quite random.

Also after ignition it sometimes stays on a few minutes then goes off.

Could it be a faulty sensor?

I've posted here because it's essentially a square Vrs!

Thanks in advance

Could be a faulty sensor, the ASR light can also come on if you have problems with the MAF.

Have you tried fault code scanning it yet?

TBH mate I'm not that technical!!

I do know that it's just had front and rear discs and pads done.

Where could I get it fault code scanned.

Thanks

Check the vag-com section of these forums and see if there's anyone near you that can do it.

It's possible if the discs have been changed then the sensor or ABS ring on the hub might have got damaged

Thanks.

Noticed today that it comes on when you set off "briskly"

Found a code reader on eBay, probably worth a £20 punt.

No ASR light though.
