INFORAD GPS Speed Camera Warning System 79.99

Featured Replies

Just came across this while surfing.....

http://www.gpsinforad.co.uk/

Has anyone tried it or seen any reviews on it?

Looks OK for a cheap and cheerful system - if it does the job!

Looks ok. But I have never heard of the company before. Can anyone recommend.

Not having heard of them before is what puts me off a bit too. On the positive side, some of their online stockists are familiar names to me - Dabs.com, Maplin and The Gadget Store - so would probably get some protection that way if things went pear-shaped.

Anyway, I would definitely like to see a review or two before I would buy one. I think they have only been on the market for the last few weeks but I will keep my eyes open and hopefully someone will come along to tell us all about it!

Think it only does fixed cameras though (plus a few supermarket doors)

It looks pretty good if you don't want a "bells & whistles" gps warning system.

It won't go off with Supermarket Doors as it's not a detector, all it does is beep when you get near a POI stored in it's internal database.

GPS is coming down in price and this is a great example!

It's on par with the original geodyssey (that only had a row of LED's, but cost hundreds of pounds!!)

Think it only does fixed cameras though

But you can input user-defined POIs, so I've had a tinker with the info available on pocketgps.co.uk, and I think I've been able to reformat the data to include mobile speed camera sites in the correct format for the inforad system. I can't see how to alter the speed setting or the warning range for definable POIs, so not sure how much use it will be, if it works at all...

Then again for 130 squid all-in for life, it might be worth a try
