Couple of negatives

The alloys could do with a refurb - plenty of tread on all tyres (3-4mm fronts, 6mm rears) , plus two spare nearly new Goodyear Eagle F1s with 5mm + that were on the spare alloys I bought for the winters

Slight bolster wear on outside bolsters of both front seats - as seems to be the norm with these

Car can be viewed at Reading, Abingdon or Woking

bump to get the pictures seen ;)

Hi, your ad mentions winters. Are they for sale with the car?

  • Author

Will be selling them seperately once I've had a chance to give them a good clean and take some pics

Though if someone wants to make a strong offer to include them they are OEM Skoda alloys with Khuma's on them that have only seen about 3000 miles of use

Struggling to understand why you haven't been deluged with enquiries on this tbh. It has EVERYTHINg seemingly going for it..

Unmolested,(most important in my eyes...wouldn't look twice at one that's been modded to death....) FSH, low mileage, seemingly pretty damned good nick, and a realistic non day dreamers completely ott asking price that's really not a million miles out at all.

Good luck, and I sinderely hope that goes to a caring new owner that'll keep it just as it is. Ones like this are becoming increasingly rare.

I shall mention it to a guy who I know is looking for a tidy vRS tomorrow when I see him.

Ok thanks, I'm interested and saw it on pistonheads originally. I'm still looking at the moment and you're a way away from me so will view some closer first incase I waste your time. I'm just getting my finances together now.

What's the reason for selling so soon?

@sebdangerfield

Selling so soon as company rules now state we must have a car that is less than 6 years old, does better than 40mpg and emits less than 200g co2/km if we take the company car allowance - if it wasn't for this I'd keep on running it as it's a great car - but as I'm one of the directors I best be seen conforming to the rules :)

(Funnily enough it wouldn't fly when I mentioned the Porsche meets one of the rules and the Fabia the other two :) )

@mr ree

Thanks - only advertised it 'in anger' on Thursday and then ended up being away for the weekend - doh! Have come back to a couple of emails, phone messages, and someone driving over from Crawley (60miles) to see it this afternoon. Much prefer to price sensible rather than day dream, has helped on every car I've ever sold.

Agree with you about an unmolested car - no problem with folks who want to do that - but when buying want a car that I can work with rather than something someone else has done - partly my decision not to do a cheap refurb on the wheels - could perhaps of asked a little more but prefer selling an 'honest' car. I'm sure that many interested buyers would prefer to save a few quid on the purchase price and then decide themselves whether to refurb or change the alloys as taste/funds allow.

Ah, that's fair enough. Crazy isn't it that company car rules trying to make the company look green cause more co2 in building new cars!

It looks spot on but I feel I'll be beaten to both by the time I get my finances sorted, need to give a weeks notice.

The bloke I was going to tell about your car wasn't in today, but I'm going back there afain tomorrow when hopefully he will be.

I'd love to take yours off you and store it away in a warm cosy barn for 15 yrears. :rock:

@mr ree - cheers matey - a VRS barn find would be nice in a few years for sure!

The people last night have decided to go for a golf, someone driving down from Northampton to look at it tonight, but who knows - does look like I've pitched it right though as they are coming from far and wide

@seb - you never know; with my work travel it's sometimes difficult to organise viewings (just fortunate I'm in the country this week) so it may still be about when you're ready - will keep you guys posted

  • Author

Sorry guys - car's sold, hopefully to a good home

Congrats. I'm going to stop looking at cars unless I have the money in my back pocket and a few days off to drive there!
