Indicators at double speed, but hazard lights ok

Featured Replies

Hi,

This morning my 2002 Superb is suffering from double speed indicators on both left and right sides.

All bulbs look to be ok and all are flashing - just too fast!

If I turn the Hazards on, they flash normally.

I've seen some other threads on here about replacing the flasher unit, but I wasn't sure if the hazard circuitry also used the flasher unit?

Bit of a panic going on, as I'm going away tomorrow night!

Would a faulty flasher unit (I think this is installed in the inside of the rear driver side wheel arch, under the boot carpet) affect the Hazards also?

All suggestions greatfully received.

Thanks

Matthew

The hazard unit in the dash does both the indicators and hazard warning. If you have another 'flasher unit' then it is for a towbar. Do you have a towbar fitted?

It's the stalk mate.
