Searched on this one and performed all the recommendations, but with no success.. My car is a 2003 0ctavia 1.9td Elegance hatchback with 79k miles.

The key remotely unlocks all the doors except the drivers door, ..have to use the key to open/close the drivers door.

The red led doesnt work, and after stripping the door card off and checking and cleaning all the connections as per the previous posts, there's no improvement.

I have no drivers door (offside) mirror function, and the mirror knob only works the nearside mirror no matter how its switched!! Cleaning all the plugs and connections as per previous posts, it has made no difference.

There was a bit of blue gunge on the big plug which cleaned off ok, but no corroded pins etc. I used pcb cleaner and fine wire brush and it looks ok.

After re-assembly, I find I have now lost the function of the interior locking buttons too now, not that they had any affect upon the drivers door itself.

So, where to now? Are there any other plugs/sockets or components relating to this problem that I can progress to?

I have exactly the same problem to my drivers door doesn't lock by the key fob and I can't get my drivers side wing mirror to work even though it is brand new. Bloody electrics!!!!!!
