Symphony radio swaped

Featured Replies

Hi all sorry if this has been asked before , did look for a answer but couldnt find one. in my fabia i had a oem skoda cassett player/radio.

my friend who also has a fabia had a cd player/radio, as he wanted parcel shelf speakers aswell he bought a new headunit. because of this i had his old cd player/radio. it works absolutly fine in my fabia, only problem is when i turn the ignition off and the radio is off the "right hand tuning button" flashes red. is this a security function built into the cd player/radio or a problem with the cd player/radio itself??

many thanks james

arrrr i seee, put my mind at rest, actually a good function as i spose it would help to deter thos vile people out there who like to steal people cars, much better than the radio/cassett player which has zero security warning lights ha

If you press the button on the right of the cassett player, the button should pop off and detatch, then you will see the red led flashinging on the cassett player

"When the appliance is turned OFF and the ignition key taken out, a blinking LED can be seen, if this has not been turned OFF in the set-up menu, draws attention to this theft protection. This electronically prevents the appliance being started by unauthorised persons in another vehicle"
