Octavia 2 gear knob insert - Black magic

Featured Replies

I have just replaced my gear knob insert and thought I would have a play with the old one and some left over black magic spray paint. It came out very good but didn't suit the interior of the vRS, so it's up for grabs, £10 posted to mainland UK -

Did you primer or lacquer the gear knob or did you just spray it with black magic?

I am quite interested in this item, think it would look smart in an all black trim interior car (my aim)

You have pm.

Sold pending payment.

@ Poloman, I sanded, primed, painted and lacquered mate. ;)

Thanks for the info pal, may try this myself but never done that kind of thing before haha :)

Just seen this and really like the look of it, I am thinking of having a go at doing mine. Was just wondering if you could tell me how to remove the insert (do you just force it up and it comes off) and this would be just the same in a Fabia I take it?

Thanks

If you slide a spreading tool or even a kitchen knife (be careful with that, swmbo will not be happy) between the trim and bottom of the knob as per picture, then it pivots at the front and lifts off, simples! ;)
