Adhesion of a badge onto a mudflap

Featured Replies

To members,

I have discovered the badge on one of my mud flaps has come off. I used Superglue to stick them on. Luckily I have 2 spares (from a pack of four)

Can someone recommend something that will stick the badge on as permanently as possible.

Thank you

Silicone maybe...

Or stronger --> Polyurethane black mastic (sold in small tubes)

Epoxy resin? Araldite?

If you can get access to any two-part Acrylic adhesive ought to work well.

You've stuck badges on your mudflaps?

You should just have fitted these beauties!

As irfant suggests a PU sealant/adhesive such as Tigerseal.

At the time of buying them, I didn't know you could get mud flaps with badges already on, and I like the badge on the side, like the vw badge on the mark 4 golf or vauxhall badge on the mark 1 corsa rear mud flaps.

thanks for suggestions, i'll see what they cost.

edit: not going for tigerseal, costs more than the badge

Thanks, can't find it at local diy store, nothing on ebay under 'Polyurethane black mastic'

Skoda sell an adhesive for fitting bodykit stuff, such as spoilers etc, as do many dealers who offer such accessories... That should do the job...

BTW, what badges did you use?

Try searching on eBay for Tigerseal

I bought ones similar to these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-BADGE-FABIA-WHEEL-CENTRE-55MM-PACK-OF-4-PARTS-SPARES-ALLOYS-UK-WHEELS-/260950903287?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cc1e2c9f7

can't find the actual item as i bought them a long tie ago and had the badges on for a while now

tigerseal. thanks, but it's not cheap, I think it will be cheaper for me to replace the badge as the current one has lasted nearly 2 years before coming off
