Hi i currently have a 1.9 tdi octy estate on a t reg ( 90 bhp non pd) and is there anyway i can gain a few more bhp ? any ideas pics would be muchly appreciated ...

Intercooler it, different injectors, bigger turbo, panel filter, exhaust system... how long have you got?

Simplest, easiest power gain- remap. I believe the 90bhp goes to around 120bhp/185lb.ft with a Revo map.

decat might help

re-map / dragon box (if you can find one for the non PD as they are rarer)

there are other options, all depends on how much money you want to spend!

i saw 218bhp with 350+ flb (cant remember the torque)

was mega rapid. maybe good base to get ya 90 on its way up.

Does the EGR Delete increase bhp by much? I can see there is a a removal of the EGR plunger, but the advantage of having the anti-shudder valve means that if the seals fail in the turbo you are less likely to suffer from a run away engine....

I kept my EGR assembly in place, and just blocked off the pipe from the turbo and disconnected the vacuum hose.

never once had the "run away engine" nore have i known of anyone experience it. not so much increase of power, more increase on throttle response and MPG, quicker boost etc. the run away thing i think was on the early TDIs not on the modern lumps of today.

Its more of an ongoing project i will definety be putting a straight though turbo back made by myself when im a little less busy at work im tempted to leave the back box off for a bit weather permitting im going to turn the fuel pump up slightly and clean the throttle body tomorrow ... any recommendations on a fmic ? also im looking for a vrs front bumper complete with grills if anyone knows of one ? cheers steve ..

I was rather impressed with the engine bay until I saw that dirty washer cap. Now thats all I can focus on haha

lol, that will be a shadow. that pic was taken the day i finished painting and fitted them lol
